So glad that God is persistent and perfect!

Don’t really know if i could ever be either of these before Heaven, but would like to be more persistent in general.

I used to think of myself as a “perfectionist”, but one here on earth could never be perfect other than The One-Jesus.

~Commitment…oops i said the “c” word!~

Saw the quote below the other day and just think it is fabulous…

Have you ever halfway committed to something?  You are not the only one…but,  you may not have been truly committed.

Maybe you started something then realized it wasn’t a fit– ya know a job or career path, an exercise routine-fitness center, a club/organization— or a relationship such as a friendship or love?

Is it true that our society in general has commitment issues or what?  Something i have been picking up on even in my own life…we all have some level of selfishness.  Selfishness has often hindered me from seeing a task or commitment situation for what it really is, therefore i will start something and realize “oh that’s really not a fit for me”.  Yes, there have been times i just did not want to work hard for something as well, so, unfortunately I have backed out of a few commitments or causes that i should have been a part of.

I am spacing this quote out for impact…take it in, my toes kind of hurt, in recent history, i have thought i am a person of commitment and passion…i am now hoping to attain that description for my character.  Maybe i have been committed to some level, but am learning i now must extend further than i have.

Wow! Just thought i would share something i am personally working on.

~Twenty-Five Random things about this blogger~

Okay, so i am on facebook and there is this tag application called 25 Random Things…I normally ignore all the invites and applications on there, not to be rude, but half of the time i don’t understand what they are or don’t have the time to sit there and do all of them, so the 25 things had been floating around for a while so i decided to cave and do it, so there are some random things below about me, that i don’t know i have ever really shared much in conversation about myself…just didn’t think most were all that important then, don’t think most are all that important now, but some are funny, some are just things…

I’ve been thinking a lot about friendships and how deep we allow people to get into our life-business, had actually thought i was an open book of sorts, but as i attempted this list, i realized how much i would rather talk about someone else rather than about me. It took me a while to do this list and feel okay with sharing, i guess maybe did’nt think it was good enough? Still figuring that out, but oh well here it is:

1) I am 33 and love it! I also remember when 30 something seemed soooo old! 2) Started one of these lists the other day and lost it, so having to start over…don’t think anything but maybe one or two items are the same as what’s on the other list! 3) So glad i was married at such a young age! Love being married to Chris after all these years..i can actually say i am still in love with him (though there have been a few times when we have remembered love is a choice…) 4) I have 2 boys, an awesome 13 yr.old and a terrific two year old! Little lights and complete joy to have them both. 5) Love to sing, even had a contract in the works, but didn’t think the timing was right…may never be right to sign with a label…i could always fall back on the oboe thing! lol! (Played the Oboe in school) 6) Have preformed the National Anthem for a couple of Major League Baseball games 7) Love to travel, dream about a trip to Seychelles, Africa Have lived in Oklahoma, Virginia, South Carolina and Tennessee. There is a lot about all four that i have certainly enjoyed…it seems people are the reason i always get so attached and don’t want to leave somewhere! 9) Love being a missionary and meeting new people. 10) Used to love to read, then went about 10 years or so, not wanting to really read a novel or anything that took much time…kinda just “checked out” in that area…weird, i know… 11) Not very good at talking about me, can you tell? I like who i am, but think others are so much more interesting! 12) Cannot believe i am telling you that once upon a time i was Miss Lynn Garden Fun Fest-Kingsport! 13) Love having neighbors and people close by, don’t think i could live in the “middle of nowhere” unless there was a neighborhood in the middle of said nowhere. 14) Love to cook, currently mastering culinary delights with no salt!!! 15) Still wouldn’t mind owning a truck 16) Learning how to play the guitar(very slowly-keyboard/piano keys are so much easier!) 17) Asked my husband to help me with this random things about me, but had to remind him this had to be rated G! 18) At the age of four, i was riding on a train to Washington State to see the grandparents when coffee was poured on my head! Believe it or not, not one scar! My Great Grandpa and Grandparents swore Vitamin E gel, would take care of it and it did… 19) Love to fish, in particular at night, on a pontoon boat, with lots of snacks, a radio a good beverage and great friends.! Miss doing this with my Popaw and Momaw! 20) Want to apply for the Amazing Race 21) Used to either want to work with dolphins or be a fighter pilot! lol! Now think it would be cool to be a secret agent…lol! 22) Once rescued a ground hog 23) Think bulldogs are almost human, except for the fact most of them can’t talk…(-; 24) Learned at a young age, life is short…eternity just is…find out who you are-Jesus loves you right there where you are, you don’t have to change for Him to love you, He just does already…if you don’t like who you are, make a change, be better, do better, love better-ya never know who needs you and what you have to offer in life just so they can live. Love all who have been given to you, either you will miss them one day or you will hope you loved them enough to where they miss you if you aren’t around first 25) I love to live, love and laugh—a lot.
