Well, this is my favorite day in December! Our second son Cayden was born this day two years ago! This day reminds me of miracles in addition to the miracle of Jesus coming to earth and His birthday years ago. Chris and i thought that Connor would be our only child. For years we would hope, people would ask questions like “so when are you having Connor a brother or sister?”- “when are you going to give me another niece, nephew or grand-baby?” After a couple of miscarriages, it just seemed as though it would be just us three. I was personally determined to not allow myself to be in the “family way” as my sweet Momaw would call it…for fear i would lose another precious little one.
11 years later…we had our own little drummer boy!
As i said, Cayden is now 2 and absotively, posilutely…TERRRIFFFIC!

The cake is technically cupcakes shaped into a snowflake…he really liked them as you can tell.

Finger lickin’ good…mmm…

“Cake all gone Mimmi”, says Cayden…”murrre?” (more?)

Did you know that Hebrew people believe 10 to be the perfect number?
…i tend to agree, i think it is great!
The challenge today is interesting: Forgive someone you believe has wronged you—in your heart, with a letter, or go in person. It could be the best gift that person receives…then write yourself a note of forgiveness, forgive yourself for holding onto something that you have blamed yourself for. No one on earth this day and time is perfect, it may just serve you well to go and ask someone you have wronged to forgive you…that is so difficult, i recently had to do that, talk about swallowing some humble pie, i was stuffed! It was so worth it though.
Since we’re on the “perfect” note: There is nothing more perfect than forgiveness. Think about it…Jesus’ primary objective was obedience to His Dad, forgiveness being given and reconciliation for us to our Heavenly Father…a wholeness like no other.
Matthew 2:7-8
Then Herod called the Magi (wise men) secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”
